I woke up early today, around 6 actually, to make breakfast for my sister who's off to San Ramon up until the weekend for a DECA competition. I decided to make breakfast not only because I know for a fact she's going to be hungry but also because the first day of the conference is usually long and she wouldn't be able to get food till later, plus I wanted to say bye to my sister before she left. Aside from that, I woke up because I had a really weird dream that actually seemed surreal. All I remember was seeing my Tatay ( my grandpa) who had passed away several years back even before my mom had a stroke, and everyone was saying hi and embracing him except for me. Idk why I had hesistated, but I did. He came up to me, and from there I gave my Tatay a big hug. I really miss my Tatay, I think this was a way of him conversing with me. Ever since my mom had her stroke, we haven't visited him since then. I think I'll visit :) After that encounter with him in my dream, it shifted off to me being in a church were I was in the middle of a priest's healing. If you've ever went to a healing mass, you would know what it feels like to have such a burning feeling in your heart and palms as the preist who talks in tounges envokes the holy spirit upon you. That feeling is what I had felt after I embraced my Tatay; it's as if it triggered some sort of personal healing in my life? Then I woke up with my heart racing in a burning sensation.
Today also marks 10 months of my relationship with Matt. It seems longer being that I've talked to him for quite a long time before we actually went out, but I wouldn't have had it any other way. I've gotten to know him pretty well during those 4/5 months we talked rather than with me jumping into a relationship sort of clueless. I'm happy (: Around 5:30 we went to Union City to watch Gran Torino but happened to miss the 6:00 showing, so we opted for the next showtime at 7:15. During that hour or less before the movie, we got jamba juice and in & out....TO GO so we could eat in in the theater cause we knew seats would be filled by that time. Wondering how to sneak it in, I placed his doubledouble in my small parcel boombox bag while he took his sweater off to cover the bag filled with animal fries. We were pretty slick if i must say so myself. Gran Torino was a really good movie and Clint Eastwood was bluntly funny for an old guy who directed the movie. What made my day even better was this old lady sitting beside me who kept tellling people to shut up. After the movie had ended, one of the girls went up to the mad lady saying that she has no right to tell her to shut up, she even called that old lady crazy because she was complaining about that girl's reactions to the movie itself. At least no one threw popcorn at her like some immature assholes did at bayfair. And tell me why, no offense, not to be racially profiling in any way but only because i thought it was funny and the movie we watched was filled with stereotyping, as me and Matt were walking we couldn't help but look over to some Mexican teenager yelling at the top of his lungs "Let's leave union landing and just back go to Walmart!". Wow, how ironic.
