I was awaken by a phone call around 9 in the morning only to find it was Sharleen from the Nestle Water Company that I applied my dad for. I guess I made a mistake when entering the cell phone number and instead of putting my dad's number in, i put mine. Failure I know. So here I am sounding groggy as ever having just woke up while speaking to a potential employer who's asking for my dad regarding his application. I look for my dad and saw him talking on the phone with some lady about our insurance. Here's the biggest failure of all that I didn't realize. Instead of handing the phone immediately to my dad, I thought it would be only right to tell her that my dad's on the phone and I can just take a message with her name and contact info. When I got off the phone with her, my dad was done talking and asked who it was. I told him it was Nestle and that you'll just call her back. That's when my dad got somewhat frustrated. He said you should've just handed it to me because a job waits for no one. He tried calling back but everytime it would just go to voicemail and to contact her is just impossible. I felt so bad...It was an opportunity for my dad that just seemed to drift away and I was the cause of it ):
On top of my disappointment, I received two letters from the mail; one from SFSU and the other from BigAtin Sweepstakes (a chance to win up to $1000 from the Filipino Channel, lol). I was so happy because I thought I had received my financial aid money from school AND had won $1000. I was let down when I opened both. What I had thought was my financial aid money was in fact money that I actually owe to the school for not having paid my full tuition! My grant covered $1524 and I still have yet to pay $300-something. I need to fix my loan status fast. As far as the other letter, I was so juiced for I thought I had won. Turns out it was only a membership card that they had sent and that's all.
One disappointment I can handle, but 3 in one day is just so kuwawa ):
Around 2 I went to Bee's house to meet her and Mia over there before heading to ikea. We first picked up Matty at the highschool, then went straight to emeryville. It was hella traffic not only because it was raining, but a fire had also occurred near the coliseum just minutes before. It was almost cleared up when we were on 880, but some nosy people were still rubbernecking. I absolutely love Ikea! Too bad i wanted to buy everything and anything. I want my own house to furnish and interior decorate, but that won't be soon! haha. Afterwards we headed to the Marina. We went to gap, and then to Nordstroms to look for something that we would want to spend our 20% discount on after working inventory. I couldn't find anything except some Stila makeup & brushes, a Betsey john son makeup bag and Juicy Couture perfume...that's it. We then headed over to bayfair in hopes of getting free items because of the lawsuit that was filed against them. I wanted some mascara, but they were all out! ):
