This commercial is just waay to funny! I hella did this yesterday. I accidentally called matt with my ass on my janky ass phone (gaaahd i need a new one!) while he was in class! Apparently i sat on it for hella long cause I left a voicemail, so i texted him saying sorry for the booty call, haha. When i got home later that day, I saw this commercial come on AND what a fcking coincidence.
Our conversation this morning was really interesting and made me question life in the Philippines to a certain extent. We were talking about how the people there rely so much on us for support financially when they are unable to see the hardships we go through here in the chase for money and ends meet. Though we are better off, it's doesn't come easily. I have a cousin, for instance, who wrote me a letter asking about all the stuff that she wanted ranging from a digital camera, chucks to even a computer. Where the hell am i able to get that money when I don't have half on the things she wants on the list to begin with? We also talked about the fact that some Filipinos there are just too damn dependent on their maids and that they are incapable of doing anything. From cleaning, doing laundry, washing the dishes, to even preparing a glass of iced tea or tang, they have someone to do it for them. It's crazy how lazy they can be sometimes if they are so damn used to being catered all the time. What's even crazier is that even poor people, those who don't necessarily live in mansions, have maids as well. That i don't understand and I think when they're here, knowing that you have to do everything on your own, is going to hit them hard in the face with reality.

Now about my day...My stats class is such a drag. I am not getting anywhere in terms of grasping the concept and the teacher just talks and talks, going from one thing to another, that in the end i just get lost. Comm was alright. We had an in class assignment and were divided into groups for that for presentations. During the two hour break Lance, Iris, Bee and I went to stonestown to get some food. I got a bacon and cheddar baked potato, it was ginormous. Thank goodness all we did for my last class was watch a movie. I took some notes, but I was playing on his psp most of the time. As we were on the way home on 880, I saw some mexican dude who was driving a truck for construction (it was advertised on his side door), was hella digging up his nose while driving and I'm just there grossed out. I think it's funny and at the same time it makes me think of have the tendency to feel that just because they're alone in their own car, they have the privacy, or better yet are invisible to other drivers or other people who may take notice of what exactly they're doing. Tell me why I always happen to catch that though...Just like the mexican driver who raised his can of bud light to take a drink. Straight drinking and driving right there.
I was somewhat sad that I didn't get to get denny's today. Not that I wanted to stay in the ridiculously long ass line, but because it's free. The fact that it's free also makes me wonder though. Why are they doing this?
