January 30, 2009

Sorry if it takes me sometime to update this on the daily, but I am on the grind and with my 18 units, I do have quite a workload. But as far as my day went, my 9:30 stats class was super boring! I mean I do have it with Nem, but it's not like I can actually talk to her without being put on blast by the teacher for talking. I had an hour break before my next class and I was kinda hungry, but because Bee, Lance, Iris and I had all decided to grab a bite to eat after 2 when our class ends, I just got some fresh cut up fruit with vanilla froyo on top. It was pretty yummy. My next class which was english was a mandatory workday, we had to be there to work on our item papers. Our prompt was to write about a paperclip and how it would solve a problem while thinking outside the box. I thought of the paperclip metaphorically and symbolicallly to both gossip and love. If you don't understand my concept, maybe this would help you out...

"Love is the paperclip that binds two people together in regard and affection, or keeps them apart in pain and sorrow."-May

"The greater damage of the gossip, the more the paperclip is unwound to reveal a rather sharp and pointy tip reminiscent of the potential damage that could be done not only to the person who fell victim to the gossip, but to the ones who participated as well." -May

Because I had started two papers on both of these topics prior to the workday, and yes I started two because I was indecisive, I just played mario party on ds the entire hour. Lol. My last class flew by surprisingly fast. We were let out early. Along with Iris, Bee, and Lance. We head down to the hospital because that was the last day I could get my shots because of our insurance cut as a result of my dad being laid off. We went to the hospital in Daly City and I registered at the lab to obtain my vaccines. After a 20 minute wait, and by the way we were all hella hungry after not eating the entire day, I was finally admitted into the small room where the nurse finally told me that they didn't carry the double dose of the hepatitis vaccine that I was due for and that I should go down to Kaiser's main building down the street. Turns out the hospital I went to was only an extension. That just frustrated me. Feeling hella bad, I told them that we didn't have to go, that I didn't need to get my shots. They insisted I get it. So Lance drove down the street on El Camino, I got my vaccine, and by that time we were starving. We went to lucky chances, and I got my usual order of tapsilog. I love breakfast anytime of the day. We headed back for home in the traffic, dropped off Iris, and then went back to Castro Valley to visit Alton. We got free drinks and stayed for a while up until he was done with his shift. It was pretty funny; Alton lost five dollars because me and Bee happened to give it to some well deserving person, hahha. You would have to be there to fully understand that situation, but that was the jist of it.
